I'm exploring a consulting position that would have me in Indianapolis a couple of days every week. Granted, it's not on my top ten, but it isn't exactly a terrorist target either. There are non-stops from CLT on USAIR, so that's cool. What's the town like?

Where are you going to be staying? Downtown, or somewhere else?

I'm not from Indy, but my wife's family is from there, so I make the requisite trips several times a year. Maybe I can help.

Indianapolis: Its downtown has grown tremendously within the last 10-15 years - there is actually a nightlife and alot of activity at night. Downtown has a billion restaurants (St. Elmo's Steaks, Palomino, Alcatraz, etc.) - Here's link: http://www.indianapolismonthly.com/dining/dinehome.html

used to live in IND - Carmel,IN. I lived in Providence Old Meridian which is a great area/apt. complex. They have a really cool Irish Pub called "Brockway Pub" which is a fun time. Broad Ripple is also cool.

Indy is a great town.
