GRR Expansion adding a VIP Lounge?

I just saw a reference in a recent article about the current GRR expansion that mentioned a VIP lounge may be coming? Does anyone know any more about this?

Saw this in an article

"The airport on Wednesday, April 27, raised a ceremonial beam to begin the expansion project of Concourse A. The expansion will add 157,000 square feet to the airport to accommodate rapid passenger growth. The project will more than double the capacity of Concourse A. Eight new gates also will be added, raising the gate total to 15. The project also will bring new retail and restaurant options to the concourse, as well as a greater variety of seating options from West Michigan manufacturers. A lounge for business travelers will be added overlooking the concourse. The construction of Concourse A is expected to take 24 months. The first phase is scheduled to open in spring 2023 and will be completed by the end of that year. The concourse will remain open during construction."

So looks like the exec lounge will be in Concourse A.

I fly out of B, so probably won't do me much good.

Thanks-I mainly fly out of A...wonder if it will be Delta or multi-airline? They are adding a huge area back there.

Ford International Airport unveils newly expanded Concourse A

"The revamped Concourse A welcomes eight new gates (for total of 14), areas to accommodate larger aircrafts, new concession and retail concepts, additional seating options and a new companion care restroom, which includes an adult changing table.

New concession concepts include a beer garden known as Aletitude, Freddy’s, Uccello’s Ristorante, Blue Bridge Market space, which will feature local cuisine from Madcap Coffee Company and Nantucket Bakery, and a news and gifts stand called Thornapple Essentials.

To furnish the space,
Haworth, MillerKnoll and Steelcase all supplied contemporary pieces to provide travelers with a greater variety of seating options.

The Airport will now transition to Phase 2 of the project, which will close the gates of the existing portion of Concourse A to undergo widening and renovations, add a second-level executive lounge and additional amenities for passengers. It is expected Phase 2 will be completed in 2024."

Just came through last week. So far the main "improvement" is a longer walk! But it does look like it will be nice. Also odd to see AA in what has been a Delta terminal.

Wonder if there are any updates on this.... AA, UA, and DL are all planned to fly out of A once everything is done, so the lounge would have to be a PP/Credit Card run lounge if GRR was thinking right.

Not sure

Pretty sure it has not opened yet. I'll be flying out in a couple of weeks and I will look. Maybe someone else knows?

GRR lounge recruiting for a GM

Saw recently on Indeed that they are hiring a General Manager for the lounge at GRR. Not sure how far in advance a GM needs to be hired, but a good sign for this location, just the same.
