Swiss Business - Boarding Pass, PreCheck, Polaris
We will be flying ORD - ZUR - CDG in Swiss Business (award flight) in a couple of weeks (4 adults & 1 child, all in J). It sounds like this would allow us to access the Polaris lounge which looks to be a more enjoyable experience then the Swiss lounge (minus the logistics). We plan to carry-on luggage and skip the ZUR - CDG to now spend a couple days in Zurich. Looking for some confirmations/answers based on the research I have been able to do. The goal is to access the Polaris lounge before boarding our Swiss flight (and maximizing sleep on flight).
1. Print a boarding pass in advance and head directly to T1. Clear TSA (we all have PreCheck) and head to Polaris lounge.
2. Have dinner in lounge and leave for flight 2 hours in advance of take-off (1+ hour in advance of boarding). Is this sufficient time? Too much?
3. Walk to T3 so we can take the airside bus to T5. (Since train is down, may as well stay airside as opposed to taking bus from T1 - T5 and re-clearing.)
4. Head directly to Swiss gate for boarding
In all of this time I have not flown International without getting a boarding pass and checking bags. LOL.
