New terminal 2 & gates at ORD

Announcement and more details on 7/15 but big plans at ORD for a new terminal #2 according to Crain's Chicago.

Will it all still be connected airside? I love walking around all the ORD domestic gates.

Looks like more dramatic changes to AA operations than UA, but as noted it will take 10 years to complete even if they start tomorrow.

So, if I'm looking at this right, concourse C gains a huge arm beyond the low numbered C gates plus a non-connected bunch, as does E??

Where this is about ORD (which is a hub for United) but it also encompasses carriers in addition to United, I'll move this thread over to the Chicgao forum
