Guess that's a good endorsement!

The Pine Club made the first President Bush wait forty minutes for a table. They treat all customers like the President, so be prepared for a bit of a wait.

Also be aware they do not accept credit cards.

It's listed on their website you have to dig down to find it. Listed under Hours & Directions.

"While we do not accept credit cards, we will gladly accept cash, your personal check, or assist you to open a Pine Club personal house account.

Reservations are not available, but please call us so that we can help suggest a convenient time for your dinner.

While a jacket and tie are not required, proper attire is requested."

Cheers.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Chophouse is about a 1 minute walk from my work. Perfectly fine, middle-of-the-road type of place. Creamed spinach is a standout.

What did you think of it?

I second the PineClub. I went to college at UD and it was a place of delicious legends.

The future reference, in addition to the Pine Club (the one I've been to the most), there's also the Oakwood Club a couple miles south of town. Bonus points for the adjacent Graeter's Ice Cream shop :P

The Paragon is another old school supper club sort of place, but that's way down at the edge of Centerville. Quite close to the Chop House, actually.
