Does anyone know the current status of this? I'm flying regularly to ORD T5 without any checked baggage, but the lines for that option are rarely short enough to seem sensible - but then after whizzing through GE I'm often queuing for 10 minutes in the customs hall. Is it permissible to go straight to the front of the line or not?!

I was last through there in early Jan. I did not see any signage for Global Entry at the customs exit point - neither a special line nor line-cutting privileges. I did not ask CBP staff as the line was fairly short anyway.
(OT - but it was also the first time I ever got directed anyplace other than to continue to the exit. Turned out to be a quick luggage X-ray, I guess just a random thing to ensure compliance. Took about 3 minutes, so not a big deal) |
It finally exists! It didn't a month ago, but yesterday there was a separate exit in the middle, only for global entry/mobile app.
