Likewise, the LAX->CLE redeye was on a 757-300 -- in fact the same ship (CO 856 / N74856) flew me home from visiting my parents for Christmas on 12/25 3 years in a row (2006-2008) and I'm pretty sure at least one of those was on the banjo [but that was before I was capturing arrival/departure gate for every flight so can't be positive]

I'm pretty sure there was one parked there last night.
It was interesting how many flights seemingly landed at the same time around 11:00 last night. The place was packed with people flowing out of C and B.

Yes, I've noticed that too... plus there are a lot of mainline aircraft parked overnight at CLE.

I remember back when PMCO used to run something like 4x daily CLE-LAS and one of those flights was on a 757. IIRC the old PMCO CLE-CDG departed from the main C concourse, the odd numbered gates near the old customer service counter. And there's still the occasional 767 diversion that ends up in CLE ... I've seen TLV-EWR and HNL-EWR folks stranded there waiting for weather to clear in EWR.

I thought it was 3x daily on a 757-300 as I recall. I did a lot of $186 MRs to LAS back in the day.

I miss the CLE-LAS on the 757. The best part was the huge F cabin to the left after entering the boarding door. I always got a free or TOD upgrade; first win of the trip!

I recall boarding a 757-300 for the LAS flight, and while just inside the cabin door a guy in front of me faced aft at the 3-3 seating and remarked, "Oh, there's no first class on this plane." I replied, "Look behind you." His eyes bugged out.

For those in NE Ohio, UA announced their flight between CAK and IAH will be up-gauged from an E145 to an E175, come April.

I'm a CAK booster... but I'm always a little leery of IRROPS at that speck of an airport. Not that CLE is a whole heck of a lot better since the hub left.

Ha, we may have been on the same flight. I flew LAX-CLE-FNT for Christmas, 2006. Fun times going from a 757-300 to a Beech 1900

October traffic figures have been posted. Traffic is up 5.5% YTD. Looks like CLE should reach the estimated 9.7 million passengers this year.

EEK! Yeah, going from the largest single-aisle bird in the fleet to the smallest. There are a lot of things I miss from the CO days, but the BE1900 is not one of them

I remember UA saying they were committed to fly to cities where Cleveland people need to go for business. They specifically mentioned Boston, New York, and Washington. I guess we no longer need to go to Boston.
