Huh!? What other hub!? EWR, I hope.

That's not the point. UA isn't going to capture any of the LAX/SFO demand if they drop the routes as others will slide right in as B6 and NK did in FLL. How much of the CLE-FLL demand do you think that UA still carries?

CAK-ORD goes to 5x daily and CAK-EWR will launch with 2x daily in late October, right when WN pulls out of CAK-BOS/DCA/DEN/LGA.
All RJ though, which means dealing with A in EWR. Have fun with that on a TATL connection.

You're right! I forgot how much UA prizes CLE.

Won't matter; I always plan a 4-hour layover in the Club for TATL at EWR.

At gate C3 they now do the boarding group line up like WN but on this full flight to DEN people were lined up in the concourse making through access difficult. Why would they need to do this. Is this done at other airports now.

It's been that way for a long time. Where have you been? And why aren't you watching the Cav's game?

UA fares CLE-FLL are down but still lower on WN, can get last minunte for less then $300.00 RT.

Don't really fly UA anymore, been flying WN and AA. I still have the club membership
and go there sometimes.

Just got back from Cancun last weekend--- was amazed to see they still have a weekly non-stop flight to Cancun. The F cabin was EMPTY when I booked my ticket--- ended up going through Dulles since I live in DC now, but that was a shocker.

CLE Airport Director claims active discussions with Lufthansa for CLE-FRA service with local business guarantees, as well as one ME3 carrier citing Cleveland Clinic ME business/clientele. https://www.airportrevenuenews.com/c...rport-outlook/

If this comes to fruition, I imagine that Lufthansa would be in C concourse as a Star Alliance member. Good news if it happens.

Actually, my mom(CLE based) after years of sucking it up to stay with CO and then United, took B6 to FLL and Spirit to Myrtle beach.

JetBlue was obviously a better experience , but I was shocked when she told me she liked Spirit more than United. She said United is such a bad, unpleasant experience, even having to pay for every little thing was better...

Also of interesting note from the video, Smith states they reached an agreement with UA regarding their facilities and that an announcement is coming. I'm curious it involves UA paying the city in a lump sum, or leasing back some of their gates, or something else. They made room for B6 at the far end of their ticket counter, so it will be interesting to see what happens. This may be the final piece of the speculation a while back that UA will consolidate on the far end of C. Will also be interesting to see if they are able to move Frontier or Spirit around since A is now the most jammed of the concourses.

Also where did AC move their counter? I was a weekly CLE flyer but since relocating south I've only been back once so far. I noticed B6 got put on the end of UA's old space where AC was but didn't even bother to look to the right or left to see where AC moved (whether they got pushed further left or somewhere else).

Any other updates people have on what's going on in CLE is appreciated!

Was at CLE today. Saw AC to the right of the UA chickens.

Also PMCO didn't have any flights to CAK.

You are mistaken, if one counts CO Express which operated CLE-CAK-CLE.

I am not sure when the route was discontinued.

I recently flew LAX-CLE-BOS on UA. LAX-CLE almost oversold; I had volunteered but told the GA that if I couldn't connect at CLE, I'd prefer to connect at EWR or IAH rather than DEN or ORD and would not accept a connection at IAD. She tried to hide her smile.

And it was already axed by 1994, http://www.departedflights.com/CO103094intro.html

I'd hardly call that "mistaken"

So, how many think LH will begin service to CLE in this decade (even just seasonal)? My take: If it didn't happen when CLE was a Star Alliance hub, it certainly isn't happening now.
