Pad Thai

Any recommendations for good to exceptional pad thai near downtown Chicago?

In Detroit, I strongly recommend "Sala Thai" at the entrance of Eastern Market.

I liked Siam Rice on Wells and Washington when I was there once a few years ago.

Star of Siam (on Illinois and State) gets good reviews too.

Chicago's best Thai restaurants are north of downtown, but well worth the extra effort to get there. Consider TAC Quick, Spoon Thai as well as ATK, which just opened and is operated by the former chef at TAC.

Is that not too expensive at all? I am not quite sure if we can go out a nice Thai foods. What about near Sears Tower or John Hancock Center? On what streets is that?

If you go to TAC Quick, be sure to ask your server for the "Thai menu". It's the "secret" menu full of more authentic, less Westernized items.
