Sounds like a chapel is in the works for MKE.

To me, an airport chapel screams 1962. Back to the days when frightened travelers might stop for a quick prayer to wind up the courage to fly. Or when every flight was met by throngs of passengers' family and friends, and a chapel stood by waiting to comfort those family and friends when a flight didn't make it.
Obviously the accident rate is not zero, and there are still nervous flyers. But an airport chapel seems to harken back to a time when flying was much more exotic and dangerous.

I tell this story only because I think there is utility in making religious services/space available to time-crunched travelers outside of the scenarios you describe, although I see where you're coming from.

Question about Concourse D and Frontier Airlines
This is a great thread, by the way.
I was wondering if anyone ever caught a connection flight in Milwaukee. I'm going to be arriving on a Frontier plane and then leaving on a Chautauqua plane (as Frontier Express). The departure gate is in Concourse D.
Am I wrong to think that all departing *and* arriving flights operated by Frontier go to and from Concourse D? Will I have to go through a second security check, or will I remain within Concourse D the entire time?
I'm only concerned because there is approx. 30 min between arrival (that is, landing time) and the next take off. Luckily I snagged a front row seat for the first flight.
Thanks for your advice.

You will not have to pass through security at MKE for your connecting flight.

Thanks! I figured that was the case, just wanted to be sure. (And now I see that little note on the page)
I've never been to MKE before; I'm so used to 1+ hour layovers.
Here's hoping the first plane is on time..... ^

A friend of mine was flying ex-ORD on Ash Wednesday. She inquired through social media whether there were any church services at ORD where she could receive ashes. I informed her of the ORD chapel at T-2...which, per its website, was having numerous services on Ash Wednesday.

As you walk past gates 30-38 you can see out the window across the way that there are RJ's down there, but the gates are right below you. There are escalators near D30 and D38, and stairs near D34 and D36 to get down there. If you get as far as security -- don't go out, just turn around and go down the escalator.
Your departing flght might not use the D27/28/29...some use jetway gates and some board from D54/55. Those are all easy enough to find. But people unfamiliar with MKE on a tight schedule sometimes overlook signs to D27/28/29 in their haste.
Let us know how it goes!

You should be fine. The gate agents are standing there to direct you to your connecting flight as you deplane. Also MKE is a medium sized airport and none of the concourses are all that big or overwhelming.

There is a fairly good selection of "cuisine" and pricing throughout the airport. Of course, if you were in a rush, you probably just went to the first place you saw.
Glad that the return went smoothly.

Also, two years ago a perimeter road was build that goes from the cargo ramp around the approach end of 7R. As of now it has paralleled the new 6th street now. This year that perimeter road will be extended and it will continue eastbound and parallel 7R/25L all the way to Howell Ave.
