Here we go again.

Feb 19-28.

Lunch for $22, Dinner for $32.

I skipped the whole thing last year after being totally disgusted the previous year when you could get more/better food for less at most places by just ordering off the menu.

From each restaurant page there is a link to the actual menu, which is a BIG improvement over the past. Some interesting places on the list this time.

Did you book anything? My wife and I went to the Firehouse last year and really enjoyed it; we're going back this year, too. Also made a reservation to Japonais, which I've never been to. And at $33 for dinner, sounds like a pretty good deal. Capital Grille and Shaw's are two of my wife's favorite places, so we made tentative reservations there, too. Looking forward to it! :)

Went to Zealous over the weekend with my wife.

Seemed like a good deal to us. Most of their entrees are in the 20-30 range with a few higher than that. Starters are 7 - 15ish, so add a dessert to that and at regular prices could have been $45, easy.

Problem is we blew the savings on a more expensive bottle of wine...

Well, it's a one-price promotion -- that's bound to happen at the lower-priced restaurants, and at the very least you have more menu choices. It was almost the case at Province for lunch yesterday, but Terzo Piano for lunch tomorrow will be cheaper on the prix-fixe.
