FTers will still post the codes here. There have been fewer of them of late anyway. The only codes I have seen recently are the MasterCard codes.

I was just quite surprised to see the message. There are still other places to search for current promo codes. There are other codes out there, besides the MasterCard codes, that are primarily associated with conventions, groups or weddings; those codes usually have greater restrictions, such as targeted destinations or time periods. Those types of codes usually offer greater discounts for purchases made more in advance (typically 10% - 12%). I think it is this type of promo code that YX is trying to prohibit from being publicly posted.

The message is not surprising. RMN doesn't verify or research the codes posted by the public to make sure they are legit, so it's easier for YX to have them not post any then to always have to check the site for coupons which are not meant for the general public.

At this time, a code that works through the end of the year may not exist. Midwest has cut back on their discount codes recently.

Most promo codes have validity periods for booking and travel. The above code expired on 06/15/09.

The one promo code that has been consistant has been the Midwest Airlines MasterCard promo code, but it usually changes every few months. The most recent code is still valid (CE0509), but can only be used for travel thru September 2009.

It may be worthwhile to watch for good fare sales.

Rather demanding for a new user.:p

At least the OP said please!! ;)

Seriously, though, in spite of how we use this forum to discuss the company, this is probably the kind of forum to ask for coupon codes. That being said, Midwest generally doesn't have a whole lot of coupon codes, and if the original poster is specifically looking for something which covers the holiday period, it's not likely to be successful.

New promo code valid thru 10/14/2009

The new Midwest MasterCard promo code valid for travel 07/01/2009 thru 10/14/2009 is CE0709.

Travel must be booked on the YX site by 09/08/2009. A 5% discount will be applied on most routes that are mutually served by YX and FL.
