help finding discount code for teacher and students

I'm searching for the best price I can get on Midwest for flights in May for high school teacher and two students to compete in event in Milwaukee. Any advice or help with cutting cost? The dates are May 23 through May 26.

Thanks

The 2 Promo Codes that I found and actually work are for 5% off. They are 5FEB8 and cmz1541. I think the reason your 9:40pm flight out of MKE - OMA is more expensive is because it is almost sold out for the 26th of May. Sorry I couldn't find a larger discount. Maybe someone else on this forum can find better deals. Also Midwest Customer Service might have a larger discount that they offer to students. You may want to give them a call.

CMZ1565 might get you 10% off.

There might be a fare promotion coming up April 1; refer to the link from the current Midwest Miles newsletter, which talks about a "money-saving surprise" on April 1. There is also a discount code for 5% noted in the newsletter.

Hope you all enjoy Milwaukee... the end of May is usually a very nice time to visit.

Thank for taking the time to share your information and posting to me. I will watch for that money saving surprise.

Here is another tip, if you are booking the flights directly with Midwest.

Try pricing out the trip as three individual transactions, intead of as one transaction for three passengers. Since there are a limited number of seats on a fight for each particular fare, you might find one ticket available at the lower fare, but not three. The reservation system will automatically price out all three passengers at the lowest level available for all three seats, if you are requesting three seats; however, if you also try pricing out 1+1+1, you might end up with one or two with a lower fare. It's worth checking.

Some sites, such as Orbitz, will let you know how many seats are available at the lowest fare, i.e. "Only 1 ticket left at this price." It's a good resource to check before booking. Again, try 1 or 2 passengers at a time, to see if you can save on those seats.

Here's hoping for a nice savings for you and your students come April 1!

As someone who also works with high school students, I would not personally pursue this strategy in my own travels with students. Yes, you may receive a lower fare, but you're also on separate PNRs then and subject to easier separation during IRROPS.

Are there any others from the area going to the same event? Eight people will get you a group rate, which includes a discount and some different flexibility in how the booking is made.

April 1 is here, and here is the big surprise from Midwest - a "Fare Sale."
It may not be a big saving from how your itinerary was priced out before. The greatest savings require a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday day of travel.

Do not forget one of the promo codes noted previously.
Hope this helps a bit...enjoy your trip.

It's probably not a big saving, if any, from how your itinerary was priced out before. Since there is a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday requirement for day of travel, this might not meet your requirements.

Midwest's website seems sluggish this morning but the fare sale seems to be working for OMA - MKE with the CMZ1565 code for 10% off. You'd get even a better discount if you waited until the 24th to fly back to OMA. Have a good time on your trip to MKE. :)
