How is YX with interlining due to weather?

Looking to book a RDU-MKE-DEN flight in January with only a 40 minute connection. Is YX as stubborn to non-elite pax. regrading interlining to other airlines due to cancellations/misconnects due to weather?

YX has transferred me to NW out of FNT on several occasions when weather has cancelled their flights. Once, they even hired a van to drive me to DTW when the FNT-DTW NW flight was sold out.

Midwest still commonly holds for connecting passngers to a degree that most other airlines gave up years ago. And if you miss your connection, they're generally very willing to book on other airlines. If the next Midwest flight is only a few hours later they'd probably keep you on Midwest. But in this case (the winter schedule) you're connecting to the last MKE-DEN flight of the day, and if you'd miss it they'd undoubtedly put you on another airline. I had them put me on AirTran not too long ago when caught by a cancellation.

Thanks. I'm traveling with an MKE-native who swears by YX. AA times just didn't work to travel seperately. So I'm looking forward to my first YX experience - glad it will be the signature seats out to DEN.
