Cookie? and other things
So, after many years I am taking my first flight on Midwest (last one was in 1997, when on a trip from ATW to MCI (nonstop direct on a DC-9) they served shrimp cocktail and chicken salad sandwiches) from MKE to FLL. The flight back is on saver service... so do they still serve cookies?
Also, does anyone know if I'll be able to get thru security to use the NWA WC before my flight (i've got a CO Pres Club pass) or would I be able to "sweet talk" them at the Midwest club. |
1) providing you are not on a morning flight, yes saver service gives out two cookies after the digEplayer, buy on board food service, and first beverage service. On the Second beverage service/trash run, you can ask for extra cookies too if you feel hungry still :)
2) not sure on how strict the security line is, but my guess would be 99.9% no on getting through...unless its an exec status for a airline that flies out of terminal D, i doubt you'll get much luck. 3) The best care club will not honor a NW world club/skyteam membership card...they have absolutely no connection, and the bestcare club is an entirely seperate entity 4) (not a question but a word of advice) try to get to the airport early to reserve an exit row seat, for that flight it makes it much more bearable...try to sit on the side with two seats too, 20 A or B (a window, b aisle) 19 AB are exits too, but don't recline. I make this flight a couple times a week, its a great flight, and great service. No problems. |
Day passes to the Best Care Club are the least expensive in the industry so if you are in need of wifi and a snack it's quite a good deal.
The NW WC and the Midwest Best Care Club are in different terminals in MKE. The Skyteam lounge in MCI is also in a different terminal in MCI than the YX gates. Enjoy the cookies. |

And since the lines in MKE are quite short it should be much of a problem to use the WC in E, then catch your flight on D

Absolutely. I've done it many times. They'll give you a funny look when you show them your boarding pass, but all you have to do is tell them that you're using the WC. I've never been questioned or routed through secondary screening.

Milk?
Hey, I am a Wisconsin Runner too (Appleton). I just flew Midwest to NYC. Great flight - they are still my favorite airline.
When the attendants come through with cookies and drinks I always get milk. It seems like I am the only one that asks for milk. How can you eat warm chocolate chip cookies without milk? Anyone else? |

bailey's
I am looking forward to flying on YX this year, its going to be a bit of a change from the Jungle Jets i'm used to flying on, and probably better than the cold muffins that CO serves on their morning flights. |
