Am traveling to Lebanon this summer but haven't been for 5 years. I know they have made some improvements since I last visited by vastly increased departure security screening points as well as arrivals customs desks. Also, I hear they have gotten rid of those dastardly pre check-in security scanning points!
My question is do they have a 'fast track' lane for arrivals/departures? I read a few articles where this was mentioned along with above improvements but not sure if they went ahead with fast track lanes or not?
Thanks for any help.

No Fast Track lanes anywhere in the airport. Arrive with PLENTY of time to spare when departing BEY for the consolidated security check and for immigration (and expect a long wait at immigration when you arrive). Same old, same old; they just can't keep up with the increase in passenger numbers. Safe travels.

Many thanks. I arrive at 11AM from Sydney and depart 5AM for Europe. Hoping those times may be relatively sane?
Seems like the extra screening points have been quickly absorbed by the demand.
I looked into VIP service with MEAGS but can's justify 350USD(500AUD). Not that desperate

Thanks again.

Fingers crossed that those timings work for you. Unfortunately with the recent economic situation, the airport is not staffed well enough. I just hope they get their act together and do something "exceptional" for the summer holidays otherwise those lines at both security and immigration are going to be horrendous!!!

Cedar Jet flew during the peak season of summer, so his experience was probably not fantastic. The airport tends to get busy on holidays and during the summer when many expats come back home to visit family. So at the end of the day, it all depends on when you plan to fly in/out and at what time. Hope this helps.
