Help please - How quickly can I get landside and back to Airside @ DXB?

For work reasons I need to get a UAE stamp in my passport, its so I can a pass to go airside at UAE airports. I have a new passport and do not have any UAE stamps, but I am transiting through DXB early Monday morning to BKK from STN. I have about 1h45 and I am in F, if that makes any difference at all.

As these airside passes, needed for work, take about 3 days to processes, getting a stamp now would mean I could send all the information ahead of time and not sit around for 3 days waiting for the pass to be issued.

So, do you think I could get off of EK68 from STN landing at 07:10 and get on EK370 to BKK departing at 08:55, so 1h45 and will I get a passport stamp???

Cheer all

That should leave you with more than enough time, but make sure to follow the signs to fast track upon arrival because the normal queues at those times are ridiculously long. And yes, you will get a stamp.

Great, thanks

You may be better going to the J/F area for security.

To get back to departures?

Yes. I may be missing something, but you want to go through immigration to get landside, and the back through security to get airside?

The emigration and security queues are generally quite short in the J/F area, so that may be a better option than the regular queues (of they are long).

Understood, thank you!

They appear to be giving him an airside pass to all UAE airports when he doesn't even live or work in UAE.

Most airport operators would provide a temporary pass allowing him to be escorted airside as needed.

Not even Sir Tim requires an airside pass to all UAE airports!

Ah, so you know where he lives, what his business/occupation is, and why he needs the pass. And from that, you can tell that he doesn't need an airside pass.

You didn't make that clear when you made your initial post stating : "Seems they give airside passes out like confetti in the UAE!"

Glad we got that cleared up.

As this discussion is more to do with DXB Airport rather than EK, we’ll move it over to the Middle East forum.

My question was why he needs a pass to UAE airports? (plural)
