Medication approval for transit through Dubai.

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post my query but I知 getting concerned as I知 transiting through Dubai with Emirates on the way to Tokyo next week.

The Emirates website mentioned that to travel with certain medications, you have to register with the ministry of health and prevention, have them pre approved and then checked at the airport. Even when transiting.

I will be bringing codeine with me, with a doctors letter and a prescription. For a disc problem in my back.

I have tried multiple times to register on this website but it is hopeless. I have also tried to connect to their live chat help, which also doesn稚 work.

I am really concerned now and wondered if anyone has any experiences of this? How is the security when transiting through Dubai? Am I likely to be searched for medications and find myself in trouble if I知 unable to register this successfully? I know thousands of people will be travelling through this airport daily carrying a range of medications and I can稚 believe this is made to be so difficult. When searching for help all I have found is other people saying this website does not work.

I dont want my trip to be ruined with pain, nor do I want to be held up while transiting or even worse, be in serious trouble for not following the rules.

Many thanks for any advice.
