It appears Uber is more expensive than taxis. Are there any other car companies that can be pre-booked that are lower priced than taxis?

How to: Get from Dubai to Abu Dhabi without a car

I was asking about other car companies not without a car.

Taxis will be cheaper than any car company

The times I looked, Uber and Careem were cheaper than taxis. But I've always finished up using the bus - for me it wins the convenience/price argument hands down.

Clearly a reputable car/limo company is going to be more expensive than either Uber/Careem* or taxi.




*Uber now owns Careem, but they maintain separate apps - and as far as I know, separate pricing algorithms.

How much is Uber generally? When I look on my app it says 350 AED for Select (only option). I know Cabs are 250. Thanks

In Dubai, Uber and Careem may be cheaper. In Abu Dhabi, their fares are regulated deliberately to be more expensive than taxis. Hence a taxi will be the cheapest option leaving from Abu Dhabi.
