Cairo Airport Check-in?
I was reading information on the Cairo airport trying to find maps to show lounges, etc, and came across a paragraph stating that passengers are not allowed to check in for a departing flight more than an hour ahead of time. The article went on to say this makes shopping difficult as stores are airside, but I am not interested in shopping.
Is this true? How can you get through security and customs to depart on time if you can't enter the airport more than 1 hour ahead? We will be flying Royal Jordanian J class to AMM connecting to DOH and then home to BOS - I was hoping if our tour company dropped us off in sufficient time, we could find a PP lounge until departure.
We will be departing from Terminal 2 if that makes a difference.

For check-in times it's best to consult your airline. Egyptair's website, for example, suggests three hours for international departures, two hours for domestic flights.
