First Test Landing at Ramon Airport, Eilat
 
Israel's new international airport, Ramon Airport, 15km north of Eilat had its first test landing today ahead of an expected opening date in early 2018!

Photos here, aircraft was an Arkia Embraer, one of five of this type used for the shuttle flights between Eilat and Tel Aviv. Aside from domestic flights (which Arkia compete with Israir on), there will be international service moved to this airport from VDA, from Ryanair, Wizz, Ural, Monarch, Transavia, SAS, Finnair, Ukraine, and several other charters.
