Good one stop options CAI-LHR to avoid laptop cabin ban?
I fly between London-Cairo ~6 times per year. With the recent introduction of the laptop cabin ban I'm planning on flying direct LHR-CAI, but returning with one stop on the quickest/simplest route possible to avoid having to keep a separate laptop in Cairo (I can't consider putting my laptop in checked-in luggage).
I'm partly writing this post to document the options I've found, but also to invite any other ideas. I usually return from Cairo to London on a Friday, so I'm using Friday's schedule as the basis for this list:
