Cairo transfer from T1 to T2

Anyone recently did this transfer?

Will arrive by Meridiana in Y, Terminal 1. Have about 3.5h before Air France J, Terminal 2.

Any guidelines to smoothen (and fasten) the process.

Experiences and other input appreciated.

So, anyone experience with a split ticket transfer, between different terminals in CAI?

Or thoughts, suggestions?

Thanks.

There is SO much written about this, I'm surprised you haven't come across it.

If you have checked bags you are forced into a landside transfer, unless by some miracle you get your bags tagged through.

If with hand baggage only, you can do an airside transfer, which means you escape the visa purchase. Just have with you a printout of your ticket, or itinerary, and present yourself at the transfer desk and get carried through the system

It's not a unique situation: Cairo's a major air transport hub. And while most transfers are within the STAR T3 Terminal, there are hundreds if inter-terminal connections made each day.

Your question is impossible to answer as written.
One ticket or two?
Passport/nationality?
Did you look in here CAI Cairo flight connections

Chiese passport, one ticket.

The question is rather simple: Can I transfer airside from T3 to T2 in CAI?
