Dubai Visa on Arrival - How often can one exit and re-enter Dubai
 

Dubai has a visa on arrival for Canadians amongst other countries.

Is one allowed to exit the country on a visa on arrival, and then re-enter the country in about a week.

I have read on pre-arranged visit visas one cannot exit and re-enter the country within 30 days.

I dont know where you get your information, but there is no such thing as visa on arrival for Canadians. Travel to the UAE is visa free after a brief period where Air Canada caused us to need visas. You get stamped in for 30 days, and stamped out on exit.

You can then return for another 30 days, and visit as many times as you like.

If I am reading your reply above one can exit and re-enter within the 30 days, say within a two week period.

Yes. I was in the UAE for a couple days, left, re-entered the next day and got a fresh 30 days. In other words, you can come and go as you please, just cant stay more than 30 days in one visit.

I'm a US citizen but not a UAE/Dubai resident. I travel to Dubai around 6 times a year. I was able to get an eGate card last year with no issues at all.

I applied at DXB on the second floor of Terminal 1 and I was out the door in 25 minutes with eGate card in hand. The longest delay was going back downstairs to the cashier to pay and bringing my receipt back up.

I noticed last fall that there was a lot of construction on the second floor, so they may have moved the office.

I'm a Brazilian citizen. Need to apply for a transit visa as I'll be in AUH on my way to JNB.

The visa info on Etihad's website says "Only single entry permitted". My question is, as I have a long layover both ways, will my transit visa only allow me one entry (so I'll have to pick one leg to be in the airport the whole time), or in that 14 day period that the visa is valid I can enter more than once?

Appreciate any help and sorry if it has already been addressed.

Are you leaving the airport? Its the only reason youd need a visa

I am leaving the airport.

My questions is that it says visas are valid for single entry only, so I don't know if I'll be able to leave the airport on both my layovers (since that'd be 2 different entries. I'm flying JFK-AUH-JNB-AUH-JFK and wanted to leave the airport on both layovers in AUH)

Went to the building next to Emirates Holidays and got my card in like 15 mins....

I didn't really know how to use it.. the thing kept asking me to 'insert coupon'... so I put my BP in but it still didn't work... then 5 people came to help me.. :)

It's a single entry visa - once it's stamped, it's done.

Can one do the following:

- arrive in DXB and stay for 4 days
- fly to Oman and stay for 3 days
- fly to AUH and stay for 2 days
- Bus to Dubai and fly home from there

Can this be done without paying for a Visa on either a UK or Canadian passport? Based on what I have read it can be, but I've read a few things that would suggest otherwise, but they're not very clear.

The only uncertainty would be around the Omani visa. Supposedly you can enter Oman without paying for the visa if you arrive from Dubai. I would ask at the airport on arrival. Worst case, you have to pay 5 riyals.

Unless the process has changed recently, you queue at the currency exchange to pay for the visa, receive a receipt and then go to an immigration officer. If you already have riyals, you can pay at a machine and receive a receipt.

You can enter and exit the UAE as many times as you like and there are no border controls between the individual emirates. You'll receive a free 30-day visa on arrival which will cancelled each time you leave.

For Abu Dhabi only, there is an immigration form to be completed but it seems to be purely for statistical purposes.
