Complicated Connection at DXB T1 - any suggestions?

Hello to you, the Middle East forum people.

I've got a question about a connection at DXB which seems like it might be a bit tight.

I'm hoping to arrive at 22:40 on a QR flight, before leaving on CX738, which departs at 00:55. The issue is that I'll be travelling with a bag, and so will (I assume) have to go through passport control, check in, and clear security again, in just over two hours, if the flights are all on time.

The question is, is this actually feasible, or am I likely to end up stuck in Dubai, annoyed and having to buy another ticket? One thing I've been wondering about is if QR's entry into Oneworld will make it any easier, assuming it makes them more inclined to perhaps interline the bags to CX, so I don't have to check them in again at DXB.

Any help, suggestions or tales of similar experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I may be missing something pretty basic, but can't you just check your bag all the way through to your final destination. Even on separate PNRs, it has worked for me (but not QR to CX)

Right, you should definitely check your bag all the way through. If you can't, then I would not take this itinerary. Passport control at T1 can be long at that hour.

You could make it, maybe even with higher than 50% probability (especially if you can check-in on-line to get your CX boarding pass beforehand), but I would require a probability more like 90% to risk it if I were in your situation. Of course, CX doesn't have another flight for around 16 hours after 00:55, even if they would accommodate you on it.

I agree about checking bag through if possible. You might also look at the transfer service through marhaba https://www.marhabaservices.com/Sour...erservice.aspx

I have not used their transfer service but i did use the bronze arrival. It was an escorted line pass through passport line.
