Urgent Help Needed for Jeddah Transit!
 

On this Saturday I will be leaving JFK International Airport and going to Karachi Pakistan. I had a 12 hour layover in Jeddah. I understand that because it is less than 18 hours I cannot get a transit visa. I just checked today and I found out that my flight from Jeddah to Karachi was canceled and I will be staying in Jeddah for almost 20 hours and I will miss my connecting flight from Karachi to Lahore via PIA.

I will be calling the Saudia offices tomorrow to ask about what can be done. I do not have a visa and I believe that it would take some time to get the stamps from New York. I do not know if they are giving me a hotel or meals.(Though I think they are obligated to give me both).

Does anyone have any recommendations or bargaining points that I can use to my advantage. Honestly of the things that I have heard about Jeddah airport I rather not stay there longer than I have to.

I bought my tickets online and I tried contacting the people, but they were very unhelpful. By the way I am a US citizen/Muslim.
