Dinner in Istanbul?

My wife and I will be transiting Istanbul at the end of February en route to a vacation in Syria. I'm thinking we'll probably want to crash at the airport hotel for a couple of hours; the outbound flight doesn't leave until 23:20.

If we wanted to go into Istanbul for dinner, how much time should we allow, and where would be a good place to go that's convenient to transportation to and from the airport?

You don't say how much time you actually have on the ground in Istanbul. If your outbound flight leaves at 22:30, then you need to be back at the airport in the 9 pm range, which means you'd need to leave the city by 7:30 at the latest. Istanbul traffic can be murderous and the airport is far from the center. (This goes double if you are traveling from Sabiha Gokcen instead of IST.)

If you like meat,Restaurant''Beyti'' is the place to be.
It is located in Istanbul/Florya,conveniently close to the
Airport,15-20 min.drive.

Really great food !
