Using Marhaba in Dubai
Hi -- people have written about the advisability of using Marhaba welcome services at DXB to speed through long immigration lines. When I went to their website, there were two levels of service: standard (90 AED, about $25) and diamond (150 AED, about $42), and only the diamond level mentions that they'll take me through 'expedited lines at immigration.' I think I saw somewhere on this forum that the standard level, too, got you through the lines quickly. Can anyone help with first-hand experience here? Do I need to spring for the more expensive service? I'm arriving at 11:30 p.m., so I think there'll be a lot of other flights coming in, and I'll be tired and wanting to get to my hotel quickly. . . . . . Thanks.

Bump...
Sorry to bump this nearly two year old thread, but I do happen to have the same question.
did have a look at Marhaba website and they offer a bronze and a silver "meet & greet" service, and only the silver level mentions that they'll take me through 'expedited lines at immigration.' However, one user on the LX-forum mentioned that fast track is part of the standard package too!? Don't want to go for the more expensive service if not necessary. Is the main difference just being met at the airbridge vs. having to walk to the arrival desk before immigration? |
Call me crazy for suggesting this, but why don't you call them and ask?

I visited to Dubai in March this year, flying in with BA and arrived around 11.30pm, and the wait to get through Immigration was an hour. It was slow and tedious, so anything to shortcut it would have been welcome.

Well, in the meantime I got the answer that the only difference between those packages is the point of pick-up (airbridge vs. arrival desk). |
