Drive time from Baltimore to Laurel?

Title says it all. I'm thinking of staying in downtown Baltimore; business is at the Laurel/Columbia border (near the intersection of US 29 & MD 32). I'd drive there around 7 AM & back around 4:30 PM. Any guesses how long the commute would be? Thanks!

Your morning commute should be easy. Under a half hour, unless there's some kind of catastrophe on 95, which happens.

The afternoon commute will be a little slower, but not much.

I would Mapquest it and add 10 minutes. I think it is probably more like 45 mins. I commute from Annapolis to Baltimore every day. With the construction around the Russell St./295 entry it has been sluggish -- and I have a reverse commute.

Your morning commute should be 30 minutes tops depending on where in downtown Baltimore you are staying. At 4:30 in the afternoon though, northbound 95 tends to get backed up to Baltimore.

Is there a reason for staying in Baltimore?

My thoughts exactly. Stay near Columbia and drive into Baltimore
if you want to visit the city/harbor for the evening.

If 95 is bad (per radio, tv, etc) then you should look at 29 south to 32.

His business is near the intersection of 29 & 32 ... how does this help him get to and from Baltimore?

the radio station to monitor is 103.5 with traffic on the eights. also check WTOP.com on web for traffic. if i95 is impassable, try the BW parkway to 32. do not use this as a first choice, as bw pky backs up from 32 to the pentagon in the am. the return in the evening this way is not a bad choice.
