DCA: Inter-terminal bus between B and C?
I'm going to be on an Air Canada flight from DCA, which leaves from the B Pier. I'd like to use the UA RCC on the nearer C pier. Is there a bus that goes between these two piers? Or would I have to go through security twice to do this? I vaguely recall hearing of a bus that goes between the two C piers, but my recollection is pretty sketchy...

I've seen the bus leave B a few times. Seems to be run by US(at least called by a US GA). seems to run at random times. I do not know where it lands on C, but it leaves from gate 26 or 24 or whatever available near the main terminal on the north side. does not seem to run by schedule. I have not found terminal B security lines to be very long. at least not at 6 or 7am.

There is a bus that runs between the North Pier and the Center pier. As far as I know there is no bus connecting the Center Pier and the South Pier. However security lines are usually rather short (especially if you can access the F / Preferred lines). A couple times I have gone club hopping and visited the US Club, RCC, CRC, and PC. :D

Short answer - no. This is where DCA is confusing - landside the ("new") terminal is split into B and C only, but airside it has three piers with separate security, south, center and north. There is a US Airways-run shuttle bus between north and center at times when US needs it for its ops. That's it as far as shuttles. The RCC should be in the center pier, and AC now operates from the south pier, so you're out of luck.
Note that AC check-in has also moved 'further south'. |
Thank you all.
I'm sure that I'll survive somehow. :) |
It's an easy walk so yes you will survive. I believe it's faster to walk than to look for a bus.

Actually, they may not let you into the center pier with an AC boarding pass - so unless you're already airside, you may not be able to get there.
