BWI D Concourse Food
 

Yesterday I had a 5:45 flight from BWI to ORD. This was the first time I've been to BWI in the last year. The food choices in D, or lack of, was disapointing. There was a McDonalds that was out of salads and took about 10 minutes to fulfill an order.

They really need to add some decent food choices. Not everyone can live on Starbucks.

Try the Rum Island Bar - the only vaguely tolerable food on the pier,
and it's not that great. Today what I did was go to the US Air club
and have 3 hot chocolates and a bunch of Cape Cod potato chips.

I agree that they "ought" to have better food selections. But, thanks
to BAA, they don't and won't, unless you like Mama Ilardo's or Manchu
Wok. I really do miss the fried chicken place.

D is pretty downtrodden in general. Have you seen the express gates at the very end? You have to travel through a wasteland of abandoned gates and filthy carpets to get out there.

I've heard that A/B had better choices, but there's no way to transit over there airside that I know of.
