DCA Security-Liquids Question
I have a friend that will be travelling out of DCA shortly and had a question about the liquid allowances. Try as I might, I couldn't find a concrete answer online. Can she bring 1 oz. bottles of liquor in her 1 quart bag through security? Apparently, whatever her drink du jour is, she can't purchase it on the plane and wants to bring the bottles with her. TSA says no beverages over 3 oz. inthe bag, but also doesn't list beverages on the "allowed" list. Anybody have experience with this?
Can she buy something at Duty Free and walk it through? |
I do not think there is a duty free at DCA. I do not recall one.

To the OP: I haven't tried putting beverages in a ziploc, but I can't imagine any TSA staffer would notice what color your friend's mouthwash is, as long as the bottle's the right size... |
Or perhaps she should have a doctor/pharmacist friend issue a "prescription label" for the liquor. :D
