Exactly. It IS ridiculous. And yet I continue to be surprised that my luggage takes so much longer to get to the claim area than I do, even if I wander aimlessly, go tothe bathroom, and buy a soda on my way. Maybe I should just stop at the RCC on the way and have a beer, but usually I just want to get home.

All that having been said, since I (usually) don't check any luggage, the other benefits of IAD make it (usually) a relatively pleasant place for me.
