Been through security at BWI recently?

Flying BWI-SFO tomorrow morning with 7:17 a.m. departure. I've heard security lines really back up because there are quite a few early morning flights. Does anyone have recent BWI early morning experience? My recollection is there is no Premier line. Thanks for any insights you can offer.

There is no Premier line at Pier D, but at the same time because there is a checkpoint for each terminal instead of a single one for everybody, I find it it much less chaotic than IAD. The lines also look long, but seem to move reasonably quickly; I've neve spent more than 10-15 minutes in line, and I usually fly out of BWI late afternoon or evening on Fridays.

In fact, I'm usually less worried about the TSA line than the long walk to the very end of Pier D where the United and Continental gates are located.

I agree, the lines look long but usually don't take longer than 20 minutes maximum. I usually fly out on Sunday evening or Monday mornings from SFO/OAK. Flying back I do see some long lines once in a while, but it's hit or miss, depending on how many checkpoints they decided to open up.

Ditto what everyone else said. I fly out of there all the time and even after the initial fiasco of NO LIQUIDS, with the line as long as I've ever seen it-only took me 20 minutes. I no longer stress about getting there super early.

I am going to move this to the Washington, D.C. (including Baltimore) forum since it relates to more than UA and hopefully one can find good answers there.

Thanks.

went out of concourse C on a thurs am during the liquid crunch. sat watching the security line to eat breakfast(bagged it). from 6:30 to 7:30 or so, the line was never more than 10 min long.

Concourse C used to have an elite security line but ast time I flew (Oct. 14) it was gone. Still took only about 15 minutes to clear security.
