WPost: Progress Has Passed Metrobus By
Another hit piece on Metro. But sometimes, Metro deserves to be hit.

But just one Metrobus line connects the airport to the District. |
Whatever happened to putting up electronic displays showing when the next bus was coming to a bus stop? Wasn't that supposed to be what followed the erection of displays at the Metro stations?

One line, 38B, running from Farragut Square through Georgetown & Rosslyn to Ballston has (or used to have 2 yrs ago) that system, and displays at the larger stops.

I find the signs in the Tube in London and on T-bana in Stockholm to be functioning more consistently than with DC-Metro. DC Metro rising to a comparable level would be an improvement -- even if slightly more. |
