Philly - America's "Next Great City"

originally in National Geographic, summarized on cnn:

http://www.cnn.com/2005/TRAVEL/09/28....ap/index.html

Basically talks about how its an unknown gem.

Moral of story: good luck getting yourself and your bags there.

It has been generally conceded Philly has been going downhill since Ben Franklin died. This article dont change that in any way.

Perhaps some here would be best served by actually visiting Philadelphia rather than relying on some newspaper or magazine article and then make some stereotypical comments.

I actually do agree with the premise and in particular the number of great little restaurants, many of them BYOB and unique places like the Art Museum, the Franklin Institute, Reading Street Market etc.
