BWI: Terminal D to A

Can you go from Terminal D to A staying airside? Thanks.

I thought B&C were the only ones connected airside. A is new, so don't know if it is connected to B&C.

The terminal map is worthless.

You have to leave and go back through security. I will say so far security in A is pretty quick.

Security was a breeze at 10:00 AM on 7/5/05. The walk from D to A wasn't bad. It seems that the hallway between D and C could be utilized airside if they moved the "point of no return" 15-20 feet farther out towards the concourse. This hallway is literally right after the "if you pass this point, you must enter security" sign. Doesn't seem to smart to me, but otherwise, I was satisfied with my BWI experience. The A and B terminals are nice, but no wi-fi that day. Made the 3 hour layover a bit tough.

There is a hallway between B&C that is airside and very usefull, however, BWI learns from its' mistakes.

A and B are connected. A was very nice, it looks like it's b's turn to get some work. When you go thru security, there is a part of B that they have covered up. The sign lists a bunch of new eating places that there planning on adding. I ended up flying in and out of both A and B. It seems like they could of added some more seats in the waiting areas. It did get a bit crowded.
At the end of A, there was a sign saying about ongoing filming of Airline at at that end. I didn't see any familiar faces, or cameras. I did take a pix of the sign though!
