Which hotel at IAD?

Here is the situation:

Will have to stay at IAD for two nights (this Fri and Sat). My travel agent came up with Hilton Airport and Holiday Inn. Which is the better one? Also does anybody know if there's also a good Sheraton around? I have got status with Hilton and Sheraton so it would probably make more sense than witrh Holiday Inn.

BTW, is there a good mall near by?

Thanks

Check Starwood threads for the latest on the Reston Sheraton. I thought it quite nice since redo. Can be full.

The nicest hotel in the IAD area is the Westfields Marriott. It is 10 mins south of the airport in Chantilly.

The closest mall to Dulles is Dulles Town Center, it is 5 miles north of Dulles on route 28. It is fairly new, I am not sure if it is good since that is in the eye of the beholder. Standard mall stuff, Nordstrom, Hecht's, JC Penny's, I think a Lord & Taylor, now I can't remember. www.shopdullestowncenter.com

If you end up at the Reston Sheraton, Reston Town center has several nice stores nearby. And Tysons Corner and the two massive malls are just down the Toll Road.

If you end up at the Hilton, it is 2 miles south of the airport entrance on Rt. 28. The closest mall to it is Dulles Town Center. It is right by the new Air & Space museum at IAD.

Also there is an outlet mall, Leesburg Corner Premium outlets, about 15 minutes from Dulles to the west.
