5 hour layover at BWI, time to do anything?
 

I have a 5 hour layover at BWI during an upcoming trip. Anybody know the area enough to know if that's enough time to do anything interesting? Not really expecting much, but thought I'd ask.

Go have crab cakes at G&M. A true Baltimore experience. I don't know if they give reservations, but you probably will need one.

Thanks for the idea. Crab cakes sound good. Where exactly is G&M? Oh, and how far away is the airport from the city?

Airport is less than 10 miles from center city. There is a "light rail" that runs from airport to center city.

G&M is about 4 miles from the airport straight up Nursery Road at the beltway.

"Locals are bemused" by the "never-ending lines" for the "huge, softball-size" crab cakes prepared by this American "dump" "near BWI Airport"; it may be "a one-trick pony", but addicts insist it's "well worth the trip" to Linthicum for this "lump meat", "ghastly" decor notwithstanding (the room "could use a lot of sprucing up"); natives who dismiss it as "very overrated", however, sniff "only a tourist could love" these "disappointing" "boulders."

Take light-rail or AMTRAK up into the City of Baltimore and so some sightseeing .. The Harbor area always has something going on although it may be a little cold for that.
