Why is Terminal F, PHL so cold?
@ Term. F, G7 waiting for AA3823 to Grand Rapids.
Why is this area so cold? No, wait, why is this terminal so cold? I know that it's hot outside and people want to cool down and all, but really, setting the AC system to 65 or so degrees? This is my first time @ PHL, and I haven't noticed this at the other airports I go to (AMS, JFK, LGA, LAX). Does anyone else notice this at PHL and at other airports? |
No HVAC setting will please 100% of the people 100% of the time.
Add in the extreme heat & humidity (AC cools AND dehumidifies) this week in Philly and an aggressively cool setting is likely the most appropriate one for a building full of people and windows and exterior doors (e.g. jetway, ramp access, shuttle "gate" the Hub) that are regularly opened. I personally prefer any terminal to be cold (see first sentence of this post), since I am usually power walking from place to place, wearing long pants and possibly long sleeves, carrying 25 lbs on my back and pulling 30 lbs behind me. If the terminal isn't cold then I'll be a sweaty mess when I get to where I need to be. |
too hot,too cold.....complain, complain complain. wait till you get to fra or munice. only 4 toilets for about 10 gates............and, half of them are locked.

Because Terminal F in PHL is awful. Why is Terminal A in IAD a zoo, why is T1 in San Diego security a mess, why is the sky blue, Why do the UA clubs in DEN keep getting worse, where do babies come from, why did they close McDonalds in LAX?
Some things will always be pondered. |
