Just landed at IAD and pulling into the D gates and saw a giant Antonov 124 (RA 82708 to be exact)...anyone know what it's doing here?

That plane shows up at Dulles a few times a year. This time it is parked in a very visible location - parallel to (and just south of) the middle of the D Concourse. I'm told it carries some large freight.

Yeah extremely visible, I can't figure out right now how to get my iPhone picture up on here but I had a clear shot of it from D2 yesterday. UAx plane that deplaned onto the tarmac and I snapped a couple pictures while waiting for them to bring over the gate checked bags (and got some looks from people wondering why I was taking pictures on the tarmac)

No idea what this trip was for but I've seen one loading up helicopters before at IAD. Really an impressive machine to see in person.
