Possible for a quick trip to the museum during a 3.5 hour stop? How often does the shuttle come? How much would a taxi be?

We have an eight hour layover before heading overseas and was thinking about the space museum also.

Is it walking distance, or is there a need to take a taxi or shuttle to get there from the airport??

Definitely not walking distance ... not a road you want to walk on, either. It's a short taxi or shuttle ride.

The shuttle uses curb location 2E at the airport -
the same location as the 5A Metrobus.
