once, a cab driver would not let my wife out of the cab at 8th & penn se until someone came to escort her......1962. in 1963, we moved to 11th st.

lots of small arms fire, and fires when we lived on capitol hill in 1968...........MLKing riots.

the entire south east, above the anacostia is now so gentrified, i don't think one can buy dope any more. certainly not on the street corners.
