From airport to Westin in Cabo

Any suggestions on the most economical way (walking and mule not included) to get from the Cabo airport (SJD) to The Westin Resort & Spa? Public transport is fine by us. Taxi, one way, is $50 or so. Would rather find something cheaper. Ideas???

Walk the short distance to the highway and catch the public bus. Southbound lanes are on the airport side. Get off at the Westin and walk to reception. Alternative is to rent a car because there is little activity near the Westin.

Don't forget - it is also quite a walk from the highway to the reception. You might want to contact the Westin and check if they offer transportation at a lower rate than a taxi.

Call the hotel directly at 011-(52)(624) 1429 000 and ask to speak with the X-plora agency. They are the official on-site tour operator and they organize pick-ups and drop-offs from the airport. I forget how much they charge but it's in the $15 -$25 range p/p. If it's more expensive than the cab, then just take the cab for convenience, if not then just give them your details and they'll pick you up and upon arrival to the resort they'll ask you to pay (I think you can pay with credit card).
