I might be traveling to Celaya soon, what is the best airport to arrive to, Leon (BJX)?

I know the cajeta in there is excellent, but it has been ages since I've been to Guanajuato, I think the mommies were still fresh :p

I believe El Bajio International (BJX) is indeed about your best choice near Celaya. IIRC, it's something like 45 minutes driving time from the airport.

Guanajuato is one of my favorite states.

BJX should be the closest, but MEX is not too far either, and transpo to the whole area is good.

Agree, Gto is the best, although of course Gto/San Miguel/Dolores are pretty touristy. But Leon/Celaya are not, and as such typically Mexican! Leon is the capital of Mexico's shoe industry, btw.
