My family is planning to visit PV in June. I heard its the beginning of hurricane season, is June a bad month to visit? There are limited direct flight options to PV from sfo. Seems like only united and alaska air flies direct. I’d like to redeem miles for flight as there are 5 of us. So far i checked a few partners, inc Air Canada, and none have award availability even when checking almost a yr out. Anyone know of any partners that usually have availability for redemption?

In my experience, the earliest or latest you travel during hurricane season is better. So July would actually be better. August, September and October the worst times.

The best months are November-May. Hurricanes are rarely a problem in June but the humidity is, and it gets worse as the summer progresses. July/August are hot and humid but hurricanes are still quite rare before Labor Day. The worst months for hurricanes are September and October.

Of course there are always exceptions, we were in Cabo in June when a hurricane hit the resort (no damage thankfully). So nothing is 100%.
