Cancun in early winter: pro / con?

I was thinking of going to Cancun in the early winter. Can you think of any particular downside at that time?

What dates constitute early winter?

End of November for Thanksgiving, the last 15 days of December and the first 5 days of Kanairy are probably going to be busy with tourists.

Go in November before Thanksgiving. That time is particularly good for low occupancy and good prices. In the area, it’s called “Novihambre” - Novhunger. Of course, that disappears with Thanksgiving holiday, and prices ramp up. Season price increases typically kick in December 15. Christmas week is a zoo.

I have wracked my brain for several days and I cannot think of one good reason not to go. In fact, I am going for New Years weekend in Isla Mujeres.

I really enjoy the times I have visited Cancun.
