Mexico Travel Alert: Elevated to Level 4: DO NOT TRAVEL

A friend just sent this to me.....As of August 6, due to the virus, the State Department elevated their travel alert to level 4.

https://travel.state.gov/content/tra...-advisory.html

Edit to add: Actually... maybe this is old news even though the update is dated today... confused.

Definitely old news.

Of course the US telling anyone that they are doing this wrong so we shouldn't travel there... As the old saying goes "pot meet kettle"

This is what I *think* happened: The entire world was "do not travel" (level 4) according to CDC. Then that changed yesterday IIRC and now "do not travel" (for USA) applies only to certain countries, including Mexico (still level four, but with fewer countries sharing this distinction).

Unfortunately, it has become increasingly difficult to rely on public safety and public health information that US government agencies disseminate, as it is often used as political propaganda. This is the America we live in.
