Mexico in pictures (yours are welcome)
México is a land of contrasts, vivid landscapes and diverse people. There are some awesome photographs out there, so we can use a thread to share them.
If the photo is attributed, please share the attribution, as well as location and relevant information.
I couldn’t find attribution for these, but:
Mexico’s iconic volcanoes, Popocatépetl (17,802 ft / 5,426 m) and Iztaccíhuatl (17,160 ft / 5,230 m) in central Mexico. By “Omar”; I’ll try to find out more.
The Monument of the Revolution, CDMX / México City.
The Pyramid of the Moon, Teotihuacán, State of México, reachable by easy day trip from the city.

The Chapultepec Park Forest in Mexico City has been awarded the Gold Medal prize in the International Prize for Large Urban Parks category awarded by the World Organization Of Urban Parks.
The City will add 105 hectares to “the lungs of the city” park, which contains the Zoo, a lake, acres of forest and a hill with the palace built by Emperor Maximilian.

Another splendid image of Popocatépetl. Yes, it is currently active. Taken by unknown photographer from Mt. Ixtaccíhuatl.

Thank you for the beautiful photographs. I've seen all of these in person. I was able to see the volcano every morning from my hotel room. Simply awesome

Woman in autochthonous clothing of Comitán, Chiapas, standing on the railroad tracks. Mexico is culturally diverse and many groups have differing customs, dress and even languages.

Here’s another volcano photo, a historical photo taken from Yautepec and the Yautepec River, east of Cuernavaca. The snow pack was much more extensive in the mid-1900s.

An unattributed but great photo of “the Emperor’s steps” at Uxmal, on the Puuc Route in Yucatan. In the distance, the iconic “Pyramid of the Magician”. The Ruta Puuc is safe, historic and replete with stunning Maya sites.
