Where to get good exchange rate for pesos to USD?
I have 9000 Mexican pesos.
where else to exchange it back to USD besides the airport (LAX)? (which I assume will give bad rates) |

I’ve done that and it has worked well - we both save forex commissions, and we both get usable currency. Sorry for the generalities, but generalities are what I’m attempting to respond to. |

Probably the bank or a cambio, if you’re still in Mexico. Probably a bank in the US. The forex at LAX will charge you like an angry bull to exchange your currency, but depending on where you live it may be easier. (You’re talking about ~$471 USD.)

(atm fees are reimbursed by my bank.) if it's anywhere near the official exchange rate of $1 = 19.5 pesos, then i made 7.5% by converting back to usd at $1 = 17.9 pesos. :) kinda of weird process at the casino. they wouldnt outright convert pesos to usd. i had to load $ onto their gambling card, walk around a few min and do a few spins on a slot machine. the went back to the desk and converted it. (and i won a few pesos in the process..lol) |
